Entry Statement

The priorities for this front range estate included:
infuse drama and interest
keep a local aesthetic while framing and complementing the Mediterranean style home
create a welcoming entry
We broke up the existing stone walls and terraces with boulders, paths, and a wide natural stone staircase to direct attention to the entry way. Upright plum trees line the widened entry walk to create an ‘allee’. At the end of the walk, a symmetrical garden around a weeping pea shrub creates a focus under the arched windows of the sitting room. Two custom steel ‘guardrails’ flank the drive for safety, and entry statement.
